It reminded me about a talk I had with a friend around authenticity vs transparency when going public with our grief - the difference lies in the motivation to share. I’m in no place to judge one’s intent but I think it's important we ask ourselves why it is we feel the need to share / not to share and what do we hope to gain? whether we choose to suffer quietly or suffer out loud, I hope we can find healthy means to suffer well and move through.
